NameSapiens is a product of Super Sapiens AI, an Italian company that builds artificial intelligence tools designed to do a precise job and state their limits. We do not sell magic: we sell a method, the evidence that supports it and the time it saves you.
Why NameSapiens
Anyone who has to name a company, a product or a project today faces two options. On one side, the free name generators: fast, fun, and useless the moment you discover that the name you picked is already a registered trademark in your class, or that the .com has belonged to a competitor since 2009. On the other, the naming agencies: competent, structured, and with costs and timelines that make sense for a multinational, not for a three-person startup or an SME launching a new line.
In between there is a gap, and that is where we work. NameSapiens uses artificial intelligence not just to generate names, which is the easy part, but to evaluate them: querying trademark registers, checking domains, testing pronunciation across languages, asking other AI models what they understand from the name, and returning a score that explains where it comes from. The Name Readiness Score is public, weighted, versioned and documented on the Method page. You may disagree with the weights, but you can read them.
The same approach applies to domains, to recovering domains that have been taken, and to protecting a trademark over time: public sources, explicit criteria, no promises we cannot keep.
The human expert
The pipeline does a lot, but the Pro and Enterprise plans include a person who reads the brief, examines the shortlist and discusses it with you. That person is a NameSapiens naming expert, who brings two crafts together: linguistic sensitivity, understanding how a word changes meaning as it crosses a language and a culture, and commercial experience, knowing whether a name works when you say it over the phone to a customer who has never heard of you. Those are the two skills a generator does not have, and they make the difference between a name that sounds good and a name that sells.
The legal partner
Domain recovery procedures (UDRP, reassignment at the .it Registry, EURid ADR) and formal actions to protect a trademark are prepared and filed by a partner law firm, specialised in intellectual property and domain name disputes. NameSapiens prepares the case, gathers the evidence and coordinates the work; the partner firm carries out the legal work within the scope of the engagement you sign. We do not give legal advice, and we do not let an algorithm give it either.
Our values
Open source. Wherever possible, we release platform components under open licences and use open tools (from the metasearch engine to the fallback models). We believe an evaluation method is more credible when anyone can read its code.
Transparency. Every score comes with its evidence; every report states the pipeline version and the models used; every limit we know of is written in the Disclaimer and repeated in the report. We would rather have a customer who knows what they are buying than one who ends up disappointed.
No data sold. Your briefs, your trademarks and your conversations with Sapi are used to deliver your service and nothing else. We do not sell data, we do not pass it on for marketing, we do not use it to train models. Data sits on servers in Europe and the only cookies are technical ones.
How we work with you
You pay by bank transfer against a proforma, the service starts when the payment is credited, and you receive an electronic invoice. No subscription quietly renewing on a card you forgot about: every month you receive a proforma and you decide. It is a less convenient way of working than a button, and we chose it on purpose.
